The newly married Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers recently had to let go of his impressive Beverly Hills Post Office bachelor pad, according to a TMZ report. After purchasing the house last year for a reported $6.5 million, he quietly sold the home for about $6.9 million, meaning he just managed to break even with realtor fees and other expenses associated with the house.
The house sprawls over 4,129 square feet, including 986 square feet for a detached, floating guest wing. It sports five bedrooms and four and a half baths all in an ultra-modern style with touches like an infinity pool and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that practically vanish into the walls when they aren't being used, contributing to the hybrid indoor/outdoor sensibility. And besides the infinity pool, the backyard also contains a spa, a terrace with grill, a deck with fire pit, and a generous proportion of grassy lawn.
Interestingly, that separate guest wing is a "floating" structure accessible by covered walkway, with its own bedroom, office space, and spare room. All in all, the whole property benefits from great views of nearby hills and canyons, and its sleek visual impression is in line with Jonas's self-described "minimalist" aesthetic, per a 2017 interview the singer gave to Architectural Digest:
"Much like fashion, actually, I think there is a cross-section, in that I like really classic things and then some bold pieces as well."
Why's he letting it go, then? Reportedly it's because he and wife Priyanka Chopra are in the market for a much larger mansion (in the same general Beverly Hills area) which they can call home, looking to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 million.
